Just returned from picking up my gauge/speedo bezels and clock bezel from Sparks Plating in Haskell. They are not 100% perfect, but pretty darn close. And the best part is the price! All three pcs. for $33. Now, I can get the gauges and speedo into the dash and finish up that part of the wiring on my 51 Chevy. Waitin' for my machinist buddy to do some work on the throttle body for the tuned port and we are back up to full speed on the build! New chrome(re) kinda gets you all warm and fuzzy!

    This place is in Haskell?

The only place I knew of around is on north utica. And less just say that neither the price nor the quality are anything to get excited about. I'd love to see some pics of what you had done. It would be nice to know if there is a descent chrome shop that I can afford. Let alone one thats in my own back yard!

I thought Sparks was gone, where in Haskell did they move. I remember them in an old run down brick building on the main drag

I'd like to know whats up also. I was told he doesn't take in "walk in trade", that he has a contract with ONG and does nothing else.

Seems like a real good price to me, I know the plater up our way does A1 work but those pieces would have probably cost me a few hundred bucks and a 12 to 14 week wait.
I had a guy last year wanted a dip stick tube, the tube, chromed for his big block Chev. I got it ready , bead blast, smoothed , etc. still ran $ 140.00

Quick response from you guys. Will try to get some pics by tomorrow. Tried once with some project pics and could not get it to work. The place is still in the brick building in downtown Haskell. don't know if they can ship parts? all that may be a little complicated for these guys. This place is creepy with just a narrow path thru the parts, paper, and machines. did not even go in the next room where all the vats were bubbling! He is open Mon-Thru 8-4. Phone number is 918-482-5080. I will be willing to help anyone out that may need to send parts to me. He turned this stuff around in 2 weeks. You can email me at badepot@cox.net or call 918-455-2004. Hope this helps. and will try the pics again.

Some years ago I had a few things chromed there, certainly not show quality but it suited me. I'm glad to hear they're still there the building looks completely deserted. I have to agree, when I was last in the building it was a mess inside, but hey I'm looking for a plater not a room mate.

    Hello Mudville and Members,

I had to join when my google search "chrome shop Broken Arrow" brought up this link to your chrome shop discussion. I own a 1953 Chieftan and just custom fit some DESOTO teeth in my grill and they could be rechromed. I'll have pics later..at work now. Worked the whole weekend on a custom piece of metal to retro fit this bad new grill! Anyway I am super interested in meeting some hot rod fans that are local to share tips and part finds. By the way Mudville you familiar with Miami, Ok!? My family calls this area Mudville because of all the flooding. Hope to catch you at some car shows or the drags soon with nice weather coming...Thanks, Shane
