the LBC cycle swap is on Sunday. also check here in the future... http://www.socalcarculture.com/events.html
Is Long Beach STILL a joke? Still a mess of Chinese made crap? Or has LB gotten smart? AND changed promoters?
There is no swap meet in conjunction with the GNRS, but there are a fair amount of vendors of new jive.
I've always found Long Beach to be a great swap with lots of guys selling old junk, along with the guys that have new junk, and a great place to see fllow gearheads. The swap is and always has been owned by the Topping's (google Marshall Topping, or just topping racing) they have raced everything from Speedway Motorcycles to Fuel cars. "Or has LB gotten smart?" Long Beach has never had anything to do with the swap so I guess they can't get smart.
The best part of the Long Beach Swap Meet are the guys in the back who bring the old stuff from their garages, some is crap, some is pretty good. The prices can be good late in the morning if they don't want to pack it all up or their ol ladies told them to get rid of the stuff - don't bring it back.
Bluto is still a little bitter about an episode from a few years ago. As for any swap meet do a search and look at the pictures, that kinda tells the story. The next swap meet is Feb 8. There is a bike swap meet in LB this Sunday the 25th. www.toppingevents.com
