You all have seen my beater Pickup....It started out as my drive to work Truck.....But when I found myself going too fast on the street trying to tune the 6x2....I took it to the track....Its first pass was like 15.90's.....after a full summer of hitting the track and 108 passes later I had it down to 12.20's by just learning and tuning the carbs....This was with a mild 327 nothing fancy......Its funny after my first pass my goal was 14.00's....Then 13.00's..then I wanted 12's.............Before you know it..your building a new mill to top all of that.....I was looking for 11.50's and got it with the new 355.......It did even better after more tuning it hit a best of 10.89.....all thou at this point the couple of times I street drove it...I was asked to take it home by the authorities..............Now its winter again.....The engine was blown apart again......and is already back together..but not in the Truck as of yet...raised its compression from 12 to 1.....up to 13.2...and installed a large solid stick and a whole bunch more converter was just ordered today.....Trans is rebuilt ready to go........looking for 10.50's coming spring time.....bad part is I still consider that slow....

The Truck has been the Guinea pig for learning the 94 carbs to tune the Hemi in DeathsDoorStep when it hits the track.........The engine in the Truck is getting sorted out for its next chassis it will live in mid engine style.....and I will finally rebuild that old faithful 327 and return the Truck to the street......When all the chips get lined up......I also have the tubing to build my short wheelbase digger........so I can run a digger the way I think they should be...fast and all over the place........Littleman

  13. Here are a couple of my car. 1966 Fairlane GT I've posted shots of it before here on the HAMB. It is powered by a 427 FE hooked to a C-4. It was my first car that drove to high school. My dad and I restored it in 1980 when I was 14. I'll never part with it.

The white car is my dad's 1967 Comet 202. It is powered by a 428 FE hooked to a C-4. He built it about 4 years ago because he got tired of watching me.:D

Both cars have been deep in the nines and will be faster next year!!;)

  15. I built this a couple years ago. I had played at the dragstrip in the past, but nothing serious. I specifically wanted this car to be fun, not serious. I run the shit out of it, over 30 passes at the last Gasser Reunion, and I am having a blast! [IMG]

I picked up this old dragster....don't know the history and don't know what I am going to do, but I sort of fit in it.......

  16. I found this, should I say this found me, S/C Ramler. It was supposedly raced in Texas and the odometer only has a couple hundred miles showing. The cam card in the glove box states the cam is bigger than the cam in the Rebel Reaper.

Here's a couple of pics of My Willys. It's an original gasser first built in 1963. This car won C/Gas at the 67 Nationals and held several National Records in C & D/Gas in the late 60's. My Dad and I restored it and have been racing it for the last 7 years. Runs mid 10's on pump gas with a big block Chevy/Turbo 400 trans. The car is all original 60's technology except for the engine, trans and safety stuff. The other race car in my garage is my Son's Jr. Dragster.

I love the Fairlane, great looking race car. A lot of great looking cars here.

Hey Don, got any photos of the 401 in your Willys? What trans are you running?

And lucky... shouldn't you be posting photos as well?

I've been wondering what the latest is on this coupe. I'm still shocked it made it's way to the junkyard. The 32 coupe was the ultimate in the dirt bull rings. I hope the old warrior lives on!

Built this from 2001-2003, been racing it ever since, with 500 or so street miles thrown in a couple of years ago. 489 Chevy, Turbo 400, 9 inch, 4WDB, 9.40s at 139. All homebuilt.

Got this from my buddy John Bisci at Las Vegas Speedway. John wrote a great book detailing the history of Lancaster Speedway back here in WNY.

"Like Richie Evans, Modified legend Roger Treichler was a drag racer before he tried his hand at stock car racing. Both switched for the same reason: better prize money"!

  28. Heyfire, lots of threads and pics here on here. Here is the original thread....

    http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=98923&highlight=rebel+reaper

The trans is a 727 with a Griner brake. Turbo Action converter. Nothing too fancy on the motor. Stock casting heads that a certain Mr. Booth ported, an edelbrock intake that has been modified like an air gap. And a piece of crap MSD dizzy. Don

Here's a few shots of my Dirt Late Model cars from last year. The #7 car was a Super, and the #1 was a Crate car. Sold all that crap and now just work on my hot rods. Got tired of cleaning mud off everything.
