Brian are winged cars in exceptance what about drag cars .and yes we have a truck load of old and young racers coming . we might bring a few cars if they fit the program thanks .c

my dad grew up in wichita falls and raced at caddo mills 53-55
and his dad had 7 Casey`s drive in restaurants in town. 41-59 or so

any caddo mills pictures or footage ? I have a old 8 mm movie from my dad I need to have made in to a dvd if it`s still any good

here`s my dads car would love to find more pictures of it

Brian how many cars last year . also will parking be an issue .c

 

I,m going to Ft Worth swapmeet and will swing back thru Wichita Falls on the way home.

 

I have no ideer on parking issues. Last year they moved the get together to Jan. and it was a little slow.

From what I'm picking up, this year parking might be a problem. We're bringing more old dirt track supers in.

That would be cool to attend, my wife is from the falls, in fact, my father in law used to sell Eddie Hill parts, I guess they were friends as well, because my wife remembers going to dinner over at Eddie and Ercie's (sp??) house when she was young. She had no idea he was a famous drag racer until I mentioned something about seeing him at the last Mile High Nationals he attended........Unfortunatley, I didn't get to speak with either of them at that race, and my father in law p***ed away a few years ago. I guess my fil did a lot of dirt track racing as well back then (mid to late 70's)

I agree. I grew up in Wichita Falls in the 60s-70s. Left out in 86, so lost track of most everyone. Delivered a freezer to Eddie Hill's mom's house one day and she had me put it in the shop out back. I still remember all the cool stuff that Eddie had stored there. It was a tall building and there were slingshot ch***is hanging in the rafters. No telling what other goodies were in there.

We stopped by on our way home from the Ft Worth swapmeet, NICE cars I loved the offy midget and sprint at the doorway.

 

Brian were you the guy that brought the 4 or 5 cars . i saw the new 6 banger start up very cool .craig
