I am thinking of selling some pieces from my gennie 32 sedan. I hate to put them on ebay. Does anyone know a source for finding out what original parts are worth? I have researched ebay completed items and several other sources, with limited results. My guess is that most of the sales take place privately, and are not reported anywhere. I will probably sell the fenders, running boards and motor at least. I will post them on cl***ifieds first, if I decide to proceed with the sale. Ideas appreciated. Thanks, Elmo Howe.

The price on 1932 Ford front fenders varies a good bit ... by the condition of the fender and if it is a welled fender or not. Welled fenders, as a general rule, do not bring the money a non welled fender does.

I have had folks give me 1932 Ford front fenders ... and I have paid as much as $700 for a super nice one. I have not bought any in a while. :)

Rear 1932 Ford sedan fenders ... do not bring the money a coupe/roadster fender will. Henry Ford sold a LOT MORE 2 door sedans, 4 door sedans and Victorias than he did coupe/roadsters ... so the supply is greater for sedans. I bought a nice set of sedan rears ... for $750 ... a few years ago ... so I could trade a guy for some other 32 Ford stuff he had.

Running boards have almost no real $$$ value ... to most because the repro Lobeck and repro Drake running boards are so well accepted ...

B engines ( 4 cylinder ) do not have the dollar value of a 1932 V8 engine. 1932 V8 blocks were a one year block with straight down drain ****s ... 1933 and up were different. There are folks who pay real decent money for a good 1932 V8 block.

Photos help in trying to determeine values :D

Thanks. It is a running V8. Some blowby, but a good running motor. Stone stock and gennie as the day it was built.

  8. Put em on here and put a price. You can always come down on a price but you can't go up. You could also brouse on Fordbarn and see what people are getting out of there stuff.

If your car came with original Running boards, ... In NICE shape, Rubber intact ( ? )
The reason repro running-boards are " Well accepted " is the fact that a NICE pair of `32 originals are harder to find than a 3W Barn-Find .

    Engine : $1500-$3000 (depeding on condition )
    Front fenders : $800
    Rear fenders : $600
    Running-boards ( if NICE Henry-made ) : $2500

    Klaz:)

It kinda funny how 32 prices have fluctuated over the years. Some stuff has gone through the roof and other stuff has stayed reasonable. At one time original running boards were very pricey. Today not so much. The exception could be originals with some wear but obvious original rubber. Original fenders have not kept pace with some other parts. The repro stuff has held back the escalation. The stuff we **** canned for the 3fiddy-3fiddy is the stuff that has skyrocketed for the nostalgia craze. Lots of people looking for the parts to build a 50s Bonneville high boy. Not as many trying to build a full fendered resto-rod. Of course condition can change everything...good and bad.

    :D

I would not sell anything ... sheet metal wise.
Unless I really needed the money. :(

A full fendered car cost a LOT more money to build than say a hoodless Hiboy car.

Front fenders ... $1,000 and up for a good pair
Fender braces ... another $100 or more
Rear fenders ... $750 and up for a good pair
Hood ... from $400 for a 20 vent to " God only knows how much " for a 25 vent
Repro running boards ... about $500
Repro bumpers @ $290 each ... then the bumper braces  add another $100 or so
Splash apron is another $100 or more for a decent one
Frame horn covers ... add another $200 or more for good ones ...
    Headlight bar ... another $100 easy ...

    4 grand ... and up :D
I would sell the V8 engine ... and they bring good money to the restoration crowd. I would go to eBay with it.

Be very sure you have a REAL '32 V8 if you are selling it as one. The front "divots" between the water outlets and the timing cover are not there (smooth surface), and the drain pet****s point straight down. Not at a 45, but straight down.

Probably at least $2,000 difference in price between a '32 and a '33. And if you ship it somewhere I'd hate to see you eat the return shipping.

I appreciate the input. This site is a never ending source of knowledge. It amazes me how many people have this same disease I have. Thanks. Elmo
