Draging 36 to P-town for west coast national, John Drumand asks me to get it there, He has always helped me out and been a true friend, so we will be there and have a booth, will have 10 strippers from SF and ****tails, come buy.

Then that Monday we start "biker Build off" I have been prototyping parts for soft tail, so thats what I have to build, not my first or second choice but time and money ,thats what I can do, you have two weeks to build, fab, paint and chrome, almost impossible.
it will be a nice scooter but am bummed I cant do my bike of choice, going aganst? Hank Young. probably get beat on votes but I guess it will be good to do show. or nightmare. going to end up with ride to San Diego show oct?

  2. I was under the impression you guy's had some heavy ball busting timeframe for the 36? or is it 'done' for the timebeing?

What colour combination did you end up with the 'other' bike?

    Cheers,

  3. Cool,
I'll stop by to check out the strippers.
    Sam.

Good luck with the TV gig...try to look prettier than ya did on MG with Lil! [IMG]

(And keep the naked guys off the bike...the general public might not be able to handle it...though it MIGHT score ya an extra vote or two??)

Kick it out, win lose or draw. The fall out will afford you to do more of the thing's that turn your crank. An early Knuckle with ton's of old part's(Cat's eye dash,springer,bobbed/flat track look) done your way. Now that thought make's me drool......

Sorry I just hate softail frames, but I'm sure I'll dig the stuff you do to it, "for a softail".

  12. Sounds like a hard job... 2 weeks... Wow!! Good luck!!

I'm also curious about the paint job on the 'other' bike.

And Cole... Which San Diego show in Oct. are you talking about?

I like softails, but I have a screwed up back and that is all I can ride. My buddy put a pan in a softail frame. Rigids usually look cooler though.

"Softail" doesn't mean rear suspension. It's a particular type of frame with a bad rear suspension system made to (sort of) look like a hardtail.

Hey Cole, why is a softail cheaper and easier than a hardtail? Isn't that what everyone else prior has built?

You will have a good fight. I love the way Hank Young incorporates car stuff into his bikes. If I scream at the TV loud enough, will they hear me voting for ya? [IMG] Good luck!

  16. way to keep a secret there Chief! [IMG] Good luck on the "build". talking to you and Ha...................oh well never mind.

    Softail, 1=I have a frame
2=I have spent months making parts for a softail
3=rather show off the parts Iv made and spend some of the time doing some things to make softail less Ill
    4= I have a frame

You get 10 days, I have to buy all my parts, pay rent, pay my help.
so if I use **** I have here there might be a chance I dont have to live in my car after show, and its possible I might sell a few new designs and make softails a tinge better to look at. Im a poor boy ,just making rent money
