Just bought a set of 14x5 , i dont have them yet to try them on. So now im wondering if it's gonna fit my front disc brakes, they are the GM 10 1/2 " from TCI . I think the caliper might be too big. Would a spacer work? Oh yeah, the wheels are Chevy OEM .

    thanx

I've got 72 Chevelle discs and calipers on the 57, a bolt on with a made-up caliper bracket and a 14" stock wheel won't fit at all.

  4. What year are the wheels off of? I had a 72 Nova with discs and it had 14" stock steel wheels. I've got 14" stock wheels off an 80's Buick Regal on my '64 Impala. The Regal had discs. The only thing about the newer wheels (late 70's early 80's) is that they are offset a little. I like the look on my '64, but some people don't. It isn't much of a difference, maybe only 3/4" to 1" compared to the older wheels.

14" drum brake wheel and 14" disc brake wheels are different, not the offset. the disc wheel has more clearence for the caliper. compair a 70 camaro ( all came with disc) to a 69 camaro drum brake wheel and the difference will be obivous.
