Anybody got any detail pics of the Petty Enterprises 57 olds cars? a fellow hamber is wanting to possibly do a 57 olds nascar replica, and he has asked me to hand letter it. I need some referance material and all i can find is small low quality pics. Lee petty's # 42 or Ralph Earnhart's #188 would be my top two. Thanks:)

Is that the tribute one, done on the new car? That is the only thing i can find in a quality pic.

Hot Wheels made a pretty nice replica (small, like 1/64) of the Petty '57 Olds around 1999 or 2000. Look for one on eBay; it might help.

    Is it a convertible?

  7. Not Hot Wheels but Racing Champions did it I think. They did a series of Petty cars - 54 Plymouth, '57 Olds, '59 Olds, '60 Plymouth, and so on.

No Nascar site has photos? You may have to hit a museum and take your own. But check the sites for the museums, too.

Petty should have switched to Toyota, just about every other make they've run has either gone out of business or is on the verge of it. Maybe it's a jinx -

Nope, it was Hot Wheels. Trust me, I worked on Hot Wheels at Mattel, and they had the Petty License in the '99-2000 period.

^ notice the strip of blue on the header bow? I always thought the convert race cars were real converts, but I have been noticing now that they are cut down hardtops and sedans...
