Found an ad on Craigslist that just said, gas tanks $25 each. The pictures he had posted weren't that great so I called the guy and he said, yeah I know that they are probably worth more but I just want them gone. He even held them until I got out of work even though another guy tried to buy them. One of the tanks is a Moon with the original brackets and flip top lid, the other is an Eelco with the eelco screw on top. I didn't have the nerve to talk the guy down from $50 for both... CTJ
With some of the recent craigslist talk on here I thought I would check it out myself. So I did. I just got myself some nice rear fenders on craigslist for my pickup that I have been trying to get/find for the last 4 yrs on ebay at a quarter of what they had been going for. And they were 30 miles from my house. Very happy about it.
craigslist is a treasure trove if you know how to search. You get to have the stuff TODAY and generally it's much cheaper than on Ebray. dj
The truck is coming together pretty slow. It would help if I quit looking for deals on parts and just worked on the truck. I just seem to have good luck lately finding parts at prices that I can't p*** on... I guess I could have worse problems! CTJ
right time and place, nice deal on those I seen an open mouth finned top 4 hole injector scoop a couple weeks back for 25 bucks, I missed it by 10 minutes, another lucky guy out there.
I local guy had a pair of really cool Morris Minor bucket seats with nice upholstery listed for $10 and they were 3 blocks from where I work. I missed them by ten minutes. You win some, you lose some...
