What year and model is this ford grill off of? I am interested in selling, but need to be able to describe it accurately. I was told it was from a '39, but do not see how. All support and pieces appear to be there. In case anyone is interested, I will sell for $150 + shipping from 42220. It is in really good shape ith only minor bends that would straighten easily. I would just rather let someone else make the decision on how they would do this.

Is there anywhere I can find a picture of the setup to be sure?

It sure sounds like a spam ploy to me. I could be wrong but it reads more like an ad than a question. JMO

The chin piece is made in with the grill sides, not a separate piece like on the 40's. There will be a for sale ad when I find out what I am selling so I can give an honest description. I, personally, do not believe this to be a '40 grill of any type, but that's why I am asking. To those that have tried to help, many thanks.

Could this be the lower half of a '38 deluxe? The upper bracket appears to be the same as does the lower filler. I am not familiar enough with this model to know the difference. The '39 deluxe and '40 standard have vertical bars and this one is horizontal. I believe the upper grill opens with the hood. Would I be correct? If not, I'm back to square one.

There are two 1938 Ford grills on ebay. Do a search and you can see some good pictures of the grills. My guess is that it is a 38 Ford grill probably a deluxe.

This is a 1938 Ford Deluxe Grill. 1938 deluxe, 1938 Standard and 1939 standard all use the same lower grill, however the 1938 Standard and 1939 standard have small holes in the bars for stainless trim. This grill lower doesn't appear to have the holes in the bars, therefore it is a 1938 Ford Deluxe Grill lower.
