I can not remember when we find out the winner, is it Sunday afternoon?

I am talking about the "official" winner, but congrats to our HAMB winner BTW!

Look at the first post on page one, the sticky/pinned poll.

    Ryan said the following:

"Congrats to Tom Branch! That little roadster is really something else - proportions, textures, etc... It was all there!"

The poll itself showed his lead was pretty darn good all weekend.

I kinda hoping something somewhat traditional in style wins the official AMBR this year, but you never know.

Who picks the winner? Is it also a vote like us or politics?

It's a committee of judges and there is a rule book. You need to know both - very well.

You didn't win, if that's what you are asking.

No, no AMBR for me...but the Pin Up Contest would have been all mine if I had been at the show this year.

Last year several sites were following the whole deal...I think even Street Rodder or one of those updated their site all weekend last year. Other than the HAMB I do not seem to be able to find any coverage or results.

Here is the car. A lot of detailed craftsmanship.

Well, its better than last years, but I was crossing my fingers for a certain candy apple red car.

The winner would have been cooler with a chrome axel up front, but I really like a bunch of the little detail stuff on it.

    Edit:

In fact, I kind of like a lot of that car the more I look at it and I like it better than the last couple of winners...what do you guys think?

Another wannabe pseudo vintage Euroracer - superb craftsmanship, but jeez what a clusterfuck of mismatched ideas on an inappropriate basis.

  25. If you have the money...you can take the win.

    "Huh?" Exactly.

  26. Merc,

I agree with you, this was better than the winner from last year.
This car was also received the Mark of Excellence Award from SAR.
This award is based on craftsmanship and attention to detail. Completely independent from the AMBR judging. Styling aside, (which is always subjective) it was a very well prepared car.

I am so excited for Harry and crew. This is one of those cars that once you look a little deeper you will find some incredible stuff. I had the good fortune to work with Harry on the display some and this was what was show at the Roadster Show in his display.

  30. maybe not a HAMB car but thats what ryan's award was about, from what I've seen in the photos and a phone call from a friend there,it is truly a damn nice car,it has alotta ideas that would make it a true hotrod even with the "euro" flavor so what its kool.....Besides its ten times the car over that POS last year and a nice simple display..........all good in my book, face it no way would they allow a traditional car to win the AMBR...........
