Does anyone know if there is any trim that goes around the INSIDE of the rear window of my 28 chevy 2 door sedan or is it just the window rubber and upholstery. If there is, I gotta keep looking:mad::confused:

Jim. I believe I got every piece of trim for my 28. And the only piece not there. Was the rear window. I think it was upholstery only...ghost

A friend of mine has a completly original 28 and there isn't a rear garnish molding, on my 31 there are two pieces one that goes vertical all the way around and then a bottom piece, of which I don't have, but thats a good idea of using a wood piece for the bottom I hope this helps.

Yeah. I have the original glass and rubber. And the piece is curved on all corners. Which leaves me to believe that it was trimmed with upholstery only. That is the only piece I haven't looked for until now. but I might have to make one for mine...ghost

Thanks guys. I should have the old rubber somewhere. Probably saved me a day looking for something I never had!

  6. Jim,

Check with the VCCA- there is a specialist for 1928 that can help you as well for a definitive answer... just don't tell him that you're building a rod. Glasd to hear you're gettin back to the build!

PS- I got your email and am holding on to the drums right now, but would still be willing to talk to your friend. If you still have my cell#, go ahead and pass it on- if not, I'll send you a PM.

    Take care, Bill

I can pretty much vouch for there not being any trim there - when i got my 28 out of the farm it was on, the interior trim was all there, but therer was none around the rear window.
