I'm deciding on paint, blue and white, orange and white or orange and blue. To help me decide can i see some of your cars? Thanks Kyle
I was thinking blue for the body and white for the frame on a t coupe, blue frame and orange body, or orange body and white frame sorry i wasnt clear
Dont do blue and orange, they are similar strengths, have a look at some old 60's 70' hippy band posters, the colors together gives you a strange effect. Unless your from that era and want that effect Dont bogart that joint...........
So you want pictures of cars with a paint scheme you got from a razor blade to help you decide which you like for a T coupe you don't have? This is off on the wrong foot.
hey you never know not everyone copies old hot rods, some are inspired by the most random ****. also it looked cool and seemed like a hot rod possibilty. Btw the next time ur just going to point out the things wrong with what someone types maybe you could keep it to yourself
i get inspiration from all kinds of different places,,,ive seen color combination ideas on a lot of different products,,,you never know,,you just have to be observant and always have the car on your mind (no problem for me,,hahaha)...i have even gotten design ideas from different items,,curves,,textures,,etc..
Never said anything was wrong with what you said/asked for. Just making an observation. Blue and orange just plain shouldnt be used together on a car. They end up being way too loud together in great quani***es. I've used objects for color schemes before. I did a set of tins for a bike that the owner wanted matched to a Gibson guitar that he owned. Brought the guitar to my house and everything.
i actually know that color scheme that you're talking about. Like a cobalt blue with a hot orange/red. The '96 Grand Sport Corvette used that. It's really high contrast, and used alot with "Sports" themes. I understand why you like it. It's more of a european racing or sporty kind of feel, tho- and not so vintage. It was also popular on some street rods in the early/mid nineties. I'll try to find a pic.
Yeah, blue and orange are direct "complements".....kind of like red/green, and purple/yellow. Definitely has the possibility to be LOUD-lol...
This is what comes to my mind when I hear Blue and Orange paint. The Ford GT40 is one of the most famous racing cars ever built. Ford Motor Company developed the car at its Special Vehicle Operations factory in Slough, UK with one aim in mind - to beat Porsche and Ferrari at Le Mans. Most iconic of all were the twice victorious blue and orange 'Gulf spec' cars raced by the John Wyer organisation.
Here's another pretty juicy example. Blue with orange really is kind of playskool. It's when you start shifting the colors around that it becomes more sophisticated (but still has contrast and impact). Like making the blue more green-ish (Marina Blue) or more purple-ish (Cobalt)....etc, etc
cobalt blue with a hot orange/red.-yes exactly, the more i think about it, it reminds me of my hot wheels toys most of all
I want the color codes on the Gulf car in post #23 The blue for my 54F100 custom and the orange for my Falcon
Check out hotrod man 2000. His T coupe is blue with white on some of the ch***is comps and white interior. A real cool car.
Their is a 31 Sedan Delivery that runs around here it has a orange body and blue fenders....I know it sounds weird but it actually looks very good....
