I am from Va and I too have found these "stashes." I am headed back the end of this month and there is a JY there that I will be checking. Actually, a couple. One is about 50 acres and the other about only 23. I know the one guy has been rear ended by a dumptruck and has been in such pain and the medical bills are going up, so he's a crushin. I know musclecars aren't the focus here, but he crushed some nice GTOs and 67-68 mustang fastbacks, chevelles and camaros. He's a mopar guy, you blame him? LOL!! Anyhow, he never crushed the mopars so we'll see what he's still got....

Hmm,looks like a lot of decent trim and stuff. Have you uncovered any 51-51 dodge cars as of yet?

Great find. And good for you taking on such a big project. I hope it pays dividends for you. I'm curious though...where are YOU going to store all that stuff?

Man if you had a big factory and you could bust them all down into parts (except the good builders) it would be a goldmine.

    Good luck, we're all watching

    Pete

Oh, yeah. Good luck with that 4 sp nailhead Doc. I'll let you know what they go like soon ;)

Both have the 261 6 cylinders but the buss's weren't part of the deal (yet).
The owner wants to look through them before she will deal.

How cool man... good for you guys.

I can see one of the buses is pretty long, but is the other one that's close to the building a shorter one by any chance or is it long too ?

Id just grab all sorts of trim pieces and start throwing stuff on ebay like crazy.

    Good luck!

man I see so much great stuff. I really want that 53/4 chevy there in the middle of the last photo but I dont have room or any extra $ now well and its 1100 miles east of me.

Congrats man and if you can get these somewhere you'll make a killing over time. Don't ebay everything try the HAMB first, please but ebay will bring you tons of $.

Hope your timeline isnt up just yet, was it the city or the owner who wanted them out by Feb?

The owner wanted them gone by Feb.09.

It's here and I'm negotiating for an extension. If I don't get it I'm gonna have to crush stuff to get my $ back or lose it and the cars back to the owner.

you shouldve had a day set up where the last week if you hadnt moved them, you just open the yard and something like $300-$400 any car thats yours. Buyer must bring the trailer and move the vehicle off the lot. That way atleast you get some of the it back and thats more than the (summer 08) scrap price, now a days scrap is nothing though.

Hope you get the extension, losing them afte all that work would suck big time. Let us know

Got a bit of an extension until April 29.

I just don't have the time I had hoped to take these cars apart.

Bring your trailers and $500.00 take your pick.

That Desoto have a Hemi? I won't be able to buy a car but if you're willing to part the Desoto, I could use some Hemi parts.

    Thanks.
