Glad to hear it. Maybe there will be something intersting to read besides the nostalgia articles. here's a novel concept, how about some hot rods in Hot Rod!! Camaro Monthly ain't cuttin' it.
Just yesterday I received my final notice for my running out subscription to Hot Rod. I threw it in the wood stove. Then I heard this about 4 hours later and now I'm reconsidering. I've always enjoyed his writing and antics.
WHAT?!?!? i get rid of my sub. because he leaves and now hes coming back. great now where'd all my mags get to?
Freiburger back at Hot Rod is about as close as were going to get to getting Baskerville back there! I love the crazy stuff he comes up with. I love that he's a "car guy" in the truest since. By that I mean he's not just into a certain (like just mopars/camaros/trad. Hot Rods) part of the hobby.
He is the best thing that has happened to us gear heads, knows how to and what to write about. Good luck Dave. **O/VGCC #830
I emailed him a few months ago asking about his new projects... good guy but a lot better now that he's back. I might even pick up a copy or two now.
Funny enough, I got mine yesterday too....Mine's not up till August! Last time I waited till literally the last....last...last reminder & got 3 years & a Hot Rod baseball cap for like $15.00 Glad to hear Dave's coming back
NICE! I dont think that cat gets enough credit i like what kevin lee has done with rod and custom but it was the frie man that brought it back in my opinion the man has a midas touch for car mags even if he is kind of a dodge guy. hey i do my best not to hold it against him i mean he does have some ford trucks right!? cant be that bad of a guy?
Goods news for sure. But I'll have to admit, I'd be more stoked if he was going back to Rod & Custom.
Hmmm, here I was thinkin it was just me who thought HOTROD mag was going down the toilet with the present editor. He rubbed me wrong with every article he wrote. Glad to hear Freiburger is coming back.
Great more junkyard stories, I mean what kind of guy goes crawling through a junkyard? Looking for a bunch of parts that were never meant to go together, instead of just whipping out the old plastic and buying new stuff...Oh yea, I do! Great, now I'm gona have to start buying toilet paper, instead of using my Shod Rod.
Frankly I never liked the guy and he was the reason I canceled subscriptions to Hot Rod and Car Craft.
