I am in the process of finalizing the amount of column drop, wheel and seat position in my 32 roadster. I'd also like to have the shifter lever on hand that I'll be using. What I want, and have seen in some magazine features is a lever made of flat stock that is drilled. My trans is a Tremec 5 spd and I have searched so many of the usual sources with no luck. Anyone know of a source??

    why not make one?

take some flat bar stock, heat, bend, repeat till you have the shape you desire... grind a flat on the t-5 shifter and bolt to that... remove it, drill many holes and there ya have it.

Speedy, thanks for the response, I'll look at that although I'm not really looking for a Hurst lever as such.

Fiddy Four, that is my my "plan B". I have a template made that I would saw out of flat stock, drill, grind, thread and send out for plating and wait 6 weeks to get back......and I may end up doing that. However, with the other metal fab and plumbing I'm doing, if I could find the source of what I have seen, I would pull the trigger and order one, saving time and money even though not as satisfying as crafting myself. So, the question remains, does anyone know who makes shift levers as I've described?????

    Thanks guys....

You might want to look into dedicated modern race catalogs, have seen a bunch of stuff like that on sub 10 second drag cars and modified/supermodified type circle track cars. That's probably where the rodders are gettin em. You might even check ebay, that's a popular style for tuners, they're available anodized in every color of the rainbow.

PS- if you whittle one up, do it out of stainless. Couple hours of sanding & polishing will cut that chrome price & turnaround to zilch

    Good luck
