Here are some pics of my 318 Magnum install. It took about three months, it was well worth it. I recieved some last minute help from friends Chris, Matt, Chuck, Sven, and my brother Dallas. We replaced the leafs springs in the rear with a mono leaf from the Dakota and finished installing the rack and pinion steering. Thanks to their help I was able to attend the Viva show in Vegas with my 52.

Sweet! looks like it went in smooth. Are you using the P/S pump?
On my 40, I took it off and found a belt that works except it's one rib narrower.

Yes, I am using the P/S pump I had to mill a special bracket to raise it up about an inch. The one inch offset keeps the upper suspension arms away from the pump when I let the air out of the bags. I used a rack off a Cavalier.

First off, HELL YES! That's a good lookin' setup ya have there. Did the Mopar valve covers come with it (I haven't seen mine yet, picking it up this morning)? If not, where did you get!?!? What did you do about the computer access? If you don't have a check engine light, how do you know if that bad boy is throwing a code? Also, how about the fuel return line? My boyfriend swears up and down that it will be a nightmare of epic proportions. It's great to see that it fits in your Cranbrook. I was worried, but my Desoto is a bit bigger. And fuel pump? High PSI inline mounted to frame? Thanks for the pictures, they're great!

The valve covers came with the motor but I have seen them in the Summit and Jegs catologs. I still have the port under the dash to hook up a scan tool. I have not figured out what I am going to do for a check engine light yet or if I even need one. For the fuel system you will need a inline pump, and regulator. I used an MSD inline with a regulator mounted to the frame and ran a return line to the tank.

I have the stock 52 rearend in it for but I have plans to change it out and install a trianglated four link in the rear. I want to use the 8.25 rearend out of the Dakota, it has auhburn Posi unit in it. I need to find a shop that can narrow it about six inches. The motor has a Crowler cam, lifters, Edelbrock heads, Mopar intake, oversized TBI, ****** headers, programmed stock ECU, High flow CAT,and Flowmaster exhaust. I plan on removing the CAT in the near future. I used the overdive unit out of the Dakota and linked it up to the stock shifter. I put a momentary switch under the dash out of sight to engage the overdrive. Here are some more pics, I will have to take some more.

Beautiful job! Nice car, nice welds, good planning.
For an engine light, how about the hood-mounted signal light indicators on a '71 Dodge pickup? They're chrome, small, and fit in a hole just about anywhere. Put one just ahead of the windshield and drive people nuts figuring out what it is.

Nice! I'm updating from a 318 LA to a 318 Mag in my '67 Charger, but I'm wussing out and putting a carburetor on it. FYI for those who don't know - the Magnum SB engines will take any LA valve cover as well as the Magnum covers. The Magnum has more bolt holes, but 5 of them will align with the old LA covers. Hence, the Offy valve covers I'll be using to disguise the later Magnum engine.

Thanks for the comments, I have not been on here in a while. I am not sure what the part # is for these headers. They are for a 3.2L dodge dakota.
