I'll be 74 this year.. But my mind is along ways behind my body..My mind says lets go do it, My body says lets check it out first..Love drag racing, Still love to ride my 400 Suzuki in the desert. Go 4 wheelin in the hills ETC.. Yes I broke my ankle the last time out..BUT SO WHAT!!!!!!
Made 62 last April, haven't showed up in the obituaries yet so I'm grinnin' and buildin'....... This HA/GR thing gives me incentive to keep on doing the stuff that makes me feel like I'm still 18.
Don't ya just hate it when some ol' lady says to ya, Aren't you a little old to be doing that. My responce to them is, Aren't you a little to young to be worrying about me...
Are all the guys responding to this post building, or are interested in building a HAMB Gas Rail vintage dragster?
me...I'm 33, with the 'average' age of other HA/GR builders/owners/racers here approx. 38-42. We do have a few 'senior' participants who are over 50 but I dare not ask them their age as they'd smash me for being rude.... Cheers, and back to the HA/GR's, Drewfus
Im 45, my late uncle died in 1982 was born in 1935--he was a builder. Lost his brother in law to cancer about 6 years ago, he was barely 60. Jack loved to build em, not drive them.
56, i'am on hold on my ha/gr, too many engine choices to decide , have 3 flatheads and 2 sixes (200 & 223) on the fence on auto trans would be ok if trans were period with engine( cast powerglide ,cruiseomatic, dynoflowand& hydro )
