So a few years ago I put a Jag suspension in my '57 Buick... see the original thread here... TECH.... or something like it. Jag suspension in a 57 Buick Well Friday night I put my foot in it pretty good... I broke the mount I made that attaches the hogshead to the crossmember... This is the original one I made... So I set out to make a better mount this time... got my marks, and drilled some holes... And built the pinion angle in to the mount this time instead of shimming anything... no the angle finder is not quite where it ended up... got her all ready to go, tacked it, and test fit.... lol, then I finished welding, and put her in. At this point I got caught up in the moment and forget to do***ent the rest... I even painted her red... I hope the torque from the 425 doesn't break this one... oh and I also went from... to... While I was at it....
MMMMMmmmmm buick. If you would have listened to the nay sayers about the jag in the buick, you would never of had this problem...
It's not a Buford. There are no Ford parts on this car... yep... they know not what they speak.... and just before I get asked again. I did not smack the side, that's an old pic before the body work. It was the easiest pic to find with the stock lenses...
I like the Lee lenses too. I was thinking about doing that on mine. How do they handle the turn signals and backup lights?
Wasn't then, hell this one even had a GM transmission... Got to modify the taillight innards... The they're all under one lense. Say goodbye to the backup lights. Thanks man, thought I still think I have a long way to go when I see some of the stuff on here...
wow...i about **** scott...i didnt realize that was an old pic at first..thought you had wrecked the car!!! :0 ohh, tell them about your subs, gangsta!!!!
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm, tasty with the new lenses. I got scared a minute, I thought you smacked the side, then I read on. Nice work!
LOL, yeah I think I scared a few people with that. The funny thing is the car got rear ended about 4 or 5 days after I bought it. It was parked. The impact buckled the skim of bondo that covered the damn thing under the quick fast paint job. What you see was when I was trying to figure out how far the skim went. That's when it started to come apart and built the way I wanted it. I painted the same colors as stock but with a bit of pearl.
I was lookin' at a Super awhile back and it didn't have the 3 piece back gl***. What's the deal, Specials & Century's had them and Super's and Roadmaster's didn't ?
Only the Special and the Century had that style of three-piece rear window. Some Roadmasters did have a three-piece rear window, but it was a different style and it was not used on the Super or the Roadmaster 75. It was basically two chrome trim pieces that came straight down from the roof to the rear deck and divided the window into three parts. Roadmaster models 73 (11,401 made, 4-dr Riviera hardtop) and 76R (3,826 made, 2-dr Riviera hardtop) had the 3-piece rear window and models 73A, 76A, 75, and 75R had the one-piece like the Supers.
