ok i know there are all kinds of options from s 10 frame swaps to stock or sub frames or mustang IIs although i only have a 1/2 frame with no suspension axles or anything i want to run stock or as close to stock wheels and want to keep as close to the era as possible is i have 3/4 ton suspension but the wheels are no good so any help or if you did a swap and have the orignial 1/2 ton parts you took off layin around let me know or if you have other suggestions i just have to stay cheap like most of us
Ok, let me take a stab at translating this into english. Do I have the following correct? You have a good, bare frame from a 1947 1/2 ton AD pickup. You have a full set of 3/4 ton suspension from another AD truck of some sort but the rims are no good. If I have that correct, my advice would be to try to sell, on the HAMB first and ebay second, the 3/4 ton suspension. Or if you posted it for sale OR trade in the cl***ified section, someone might trade you some 1/2 ton stuff. Compatible wheels themselves aren't that hard to come by. My fiancee would like one of these trucks for herself and so I've been scoping out prices, parts, etc. and anticipating building sort of a resto-mod version for her. They seem to be good trucks.
