Let me try some pic's.... I am welding and grinding nowadays, and so tired of it. But I hope the worst is done in a few weeks. The plan is to have a removable black canvas top.
Well,it's an old build that I imported from Texas as an empty shell almost. I have made a totally new bottom. Sent the frame to a professional who repaired and reinforced it,plus made new engine mounts and so on. rear axle is a Mopar '489 casting mounted with ladderbars. Super Bell with split wishbones in the front,three-speed GM manual trans, 290 hp-350 crate-engine. Wheels are -33 Plymouth 16'' wires at front and 'Wheel Vintiques' 6''-16'' rear. Firestones 6.00 and 7.50. Fuel tank from The Hot Rod Company. Also planned to have quick-mounted small fenders. And yes,-4-wheel disc-brakes. (it's needed here). Steering is 'Unisteer'. I wanted bomber-seats for christmas, but nobody seemed to know that,so I guess I have to make my own.
I'm continually amazed at the quality of the builds you guys pull off. I can't imagine being half way around the world from the raw materiel and be able to create such quality results. My hat is off to you. \ Frank
Very, Very nice. Can't wait to see it driving. I have spent some time in Stavanger and Oslo..................really liked Oslo.
This is the only I have from the side. As soon as winter is over I'll push it out and take some new shots. Coupe in background is a -28. Stock, except for 16''wheels. Belongs to a friend. Harley-Davidson is mine.
I finally got myself together yesterday and started working on the coupe again. Today is a nice day,so I think I'll get something done also.
Is your friend having as much fun with his stock 28 Coupe as you are with your 30 rod? Seriously? Is he planning to keep his '28 stock? This picture is pretty cool, and I dig it. Looks like 'good times,' whether in Norway or wherever.
It's hard to say what will happen to the-28. Another guy bought it some weeks ago,and he is not familiar with the HAMB-gospel even though I have tried to inform him. One just have to realise that not everybody has the right taste and understanding. His immediate plan is to fix the electrics, replace the rotten tires and get the car registered. So far so good. But he was talkin about wanting to make a roadster out of it I know that will end in a disaster.-But my guess is that the car will be for sale again this year. Another friend got himself a -31 pickup a week ago. This car is in stock condition. It just needs new rubber and maybe a couple rearfenders to be on the road.
I'm on the road ! It's not finished yet,but I've had a lot of fun this summer/autumn. The process of getting license-plates is going well so far. I will know for sure in some weeks.
