ya so some of you came out to the last one that I did last year and the show itself had a pretty good turn out but the car show was a bomb because I was unaware of a bunch of shows that were going on that day .. I was competing with ABATE's bikini bike wash, a car show and several other things going on that day... I am in the talks with several good traditional rockabilly bands as well as a burlesque troop to come out from texas and perform as well... Im thinking of doing the car show early in the day at one of my buddy's bars who will be doing some drink specials and then do the show itself at another one of my buddy's bars down the street from there... so I am thinking about doing the show sometime in between May & August due to all of the shows going on in the next few weeks.... so what are some good tentative dates that you guys would be able to possibly come out for the show ... let me know so I can go ahead and start getting all of the details worked out ... thanks

June is a good month, cause it's not too hot yet. You let us know early enough and Doc and I will try to be there with at least 4 cars that will make you proud. Amen to the Rockabilly band idea. Mark

ya so far I know that The Dragstrip Phantoms (local rockabilly - 50s cover band, they played the last Grease Fest) and The Bedlamville Triflers (traditional 3 piece rockabilly from Baton Rouge) have already said that they want to play the show... thinking about doing the car show at JC's Bar on Texas Street in Bossier City in the early afternoon and then move the show possibly to the same bar that the last Grease Fest was at because I can throw it like last time which is 18 and up versus all of the other bars that are 21 and up.... Im trying to bring rockabilly back into this town and its complicated because its the next generation that is going to keep the spirit alive being that us older cats cant always make it out.... anyways ya I was thinkin bout June because its far enough away to get the right amount of time to promote the dog piss out of it.... anyways ill keep you posted Mark....

Buddies of mine have theirs in OKC in Aug... very hot... but building into good show... 3rd year this year. Last year had a bar crawl the night before, bands that would be playing all at the show the next day were at various bars around the city, one would play then it would be half hour later the next would start at the next bar. Just kinda went around all evening...

Junes a good time not too hot, they built a website to post on The HAMB, other forums, the space thing and got these guys to announce on their site...

When ever it is or anything car show related that way let me know... Nothing here in Central LA... if I can help in any way to promote or help out let me know... I'll see if any of the Okie bands are interested in playing...

Will be there in a sec.

ya so far i have another bar that I ran the idea by the owner of the bar to have the car show there in the early afternoon possibly from noon - 5 pm but the bar will be open the entire time... hes down for that idea... on top of that im working on the show itself at another bar that serves alcohol and I can throw the show as 18 and up since all of the bars in shreveport and bossier except for that one are all 21 and up ... i just dont wanna leave out the under 21 crowd because they are our next generation and alot of cats that I have met that love working on their cars are all getting younger these days
