Sorry I never got to meet him, he produced quality parts that were respected by everyone. Bought a Wescott '32 Roadster body in 1976 once painted it looked just like steel. Thoughts and prayers going out.

...sad to hear the inevitable has occured.
Have driven past Wescott's Auto Restyling building
at least weekly...for over 25 years.
Have seen the internationally famous car crafter
also as a highly involved local citizen.
And a well-spoken one at that.
Our humble berg has a rich history.
One that is richer for having been home to Dee Westcott.

I can not tell you how sorry I am to hear this. Dee told me of the 40 dash in the roadster project a couple of years before it was out. Saw him at GGs Indy and kept asking about when it would be available? One year I walked up to the display with a roadster that had the dash installed I turned to look at Dee and he already had the invoice made out. All I had to do was sign and fill in a couple of blanks.
What truly special man Dee Wescott was.

His Duece Roadster products inspired me to buy the first locally made one made in Australasia. I Would just like to say that his influence had spread world wide even 34 years ago.

Although after struggling with the body I bought i always wish I could have bought a Wescotts product back then.

Sad news my condolence to all his family, Wescott name will always be remembered as quality and honesty. I had a the honor to have a few words with him twenty years ago on a trip back east and he was very cordial to me, he will be missed.
