How much are those? 10 bucks or so? And do they come in right hand models?

About 15 years ago I had a Detroit Diesel block roll over my pinkie and ring finger on my right hand. Me and 6 guys I was working were lifting it into the scrap metal guys truck. The guys on the other side from me lifted it too high and it rolled towards me and my fingers. I pulled them out just in time before the sharp edge of the engine block sheared them off or I would have lost the pinkie and had half of my ring finger, I did smash the hell out of them though. Kind of freaky to think about now . The guy I was working for was a real ASSHOLE...I love karma, the idiot lost his business, house, and family (they got tired of his shit) a few years ago :).

  5. I've put a small drill bit into a Dremel tool with a chuck. clean the bit with peroxide, alcohol or heat. leave only enough bit out the end to get through the nail. I use low speed, but higher RPMs will yeild much more drama and awe from your spectators. If there is enough pressure, it'll make a mess.
We held a guy down at work 20 years ago for this exact procedure when he wouldn't go to a Dr. or do any work 'cause his finger hurt. Wrapped his finger in a piece of shop rag, (cleaned with alcahol cause we care:) ) and told him to get some work done. When he cried to the boss, he was asked if he could pass the drug test for the injury report. He did more work that night than he had done in months.

I haven't had a good finger injury in years, but if we're comparing pics, this was my hand in August. I tried to save a motorcycle that was falling off a lift and failed. Was kind neat, looked like the Terminator's hand inside when I flexed it. The nurses were bringing friends around and saying "make it move again". The ER doc sewed me up great, now it only hurts when I shake hands.

Heythere, I had EXACTLY the same thing 2 1/2 years ago; now they've extended it L-2/S1, thats 10 interlocking pedicle screws, 2,9" titaium rods, plus 2 cross support rods. My back looks like a section of model railroad track on X-Ray. And I hear you about the cold weather! Plus, my neck's as bad as my back, 2 surgeries there and another one coming up. To everyone out there, BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR SPINE, it's the only one you have, and no matter what gets done to it surgically, it can't be "fixed". Butch/56sedandelivery.

No pics, but I did stick an ice pick through the tip of my pinky finger thirteen years ago.

Thanks for the laughs but why in the hell would you have to self cath yourself ?
That hurts just thinking about it.The only thing worse would be trying to do it with one arm.The fluid store story was good too....

The first time I had it done as a kid the doctor did the exacto knife finger drill technique, been using it ever since..anyone ever do their own stitching? its kinda fun, if you can reach it...

  20. OH MY GOD!!!! Suck it up Princess!!! I blow my nails off my fingers and thumbs on a regular basis and always seem to have blood under the nail. I have used a utility knife blade but usually the nail is blown right off. One time I did this and taped it up with blue tape and kept working. It kept bleeding so I had to get it looked at. 12 stitches on the nail bed. When I do it, it just reminds me that I am still living.

  22. I´we heard (from expert) that if you have anykind of pain(or somthing is buggin you) , you can allways get away with this neat trick : Put toothpicks under your footfingernails and kick the wall , hard! After that you dont even remember what was wrong before!:p
