I am going to speak with the coordinator of the Midwest Gassers and see what our schedule looks like. From there, perhaps we can get something going. Just a possibility to consider...June 7 (Sunday) is Buick, Olds, Pontiac day. It sounds as though the Gassers will participate. It is also the first day of Hot Rod Power Tour and they are going to be stopping at Great Lakes and making some passes. From there, they go to the Lakefront in Racine (10 miles away), so you could see/do lots on that day.

 

Montgomery here, Right by the old Oswego dragstrip. A couple of us from this area might be interested in this.

OK.. I PM'd with tudorJeff and we agree that it would be cool. We could have a seperate area in the grass for a meet & greet. I was thinking of maybe having a hot rod shoot out with a homemade trophy if enough cars can pass inspection. I emailed the staff at the Grove about it and we'll see what they say. I'm sure us gearheads can support both if they are far enough apart. The distance alone will affect different guys. I'll start a new thread when I have more info. Maybe I'll call it OHRA: Only Hot Rods Allowed.

 

Meeting at GLD would be cool.

Hey Tudorjeff, I didn't want to step on your toes or anyting, Hopefully you're not against my idea. I know it would be kool to hook up with everyone, my thoughts were more geared towards those that could make it here but couldn't down towards Rockford. But then the idea of the Grove came up and that's sounding pretty good. We'll have to see what happens and take it from there!!!!

OK. I've PM'd with TudorJef, Greg32, and Bobwop. We're gonna try to get a date with Union Grove. I already emailed the staff to work out the details. And Bobwop is connected through the Gassers club. It will be very informal and won't interfer with Byron or Rockford. Should be a blast.

 

All you guys better come out to the Symco Shakedown this summer or we'll have to hunt you down...
