    OK
so I searched around read lots of threads and I can't find my answer. Here's the question. Will the 14 spline s10 t5 fit/work (mostly work) with my sbc 307 v8???? Thanks. Nick

The input shaft length is different, but it can be made to work.

Use S-10 clutch disc and shorten the bearing cover sleeve so it does not hit anything.

You may also need to deepen/lengthen the splines on the input shaft as well as trim a little bit from the pilot shaft. You'll have to mock it all up to be sure - believe there's about 1/2" difference (w/S10 being longer)

This has all been covered many many times....

What it takes is the same thing as putting it behind any Chevy L6 or V8 from '55 on up in a car, or '48-up in the trucks (based on bellhousing to trans. bolt pattern)...

Bellhousing needs to have the 4 11/16" center hole.
Drill out the bolt holes on the ****** to 1/2"
Take 3/8-1/2" off the tip of the input shaft.
Cut the input collar to the same length as a regular collar is.
    14 spline discs are available in 9 1/8", 9 5/8" and 11" diameters. 10 1/2" would be a custom disc.
Test fit the trans and disc without pressure plate to make sure it will disengage from the flywheel. If not, either lengthen the input splines, grind the splines back on the disc hub, or ad a thin spacer between the trans, and bellhousing.

This is for using an S10 version T5. Camaro versions do not need to be shortened.
