Aluminum single carb. intake for a early flathead ford
A set of wide five wheels
4 Small gl*** jars Standard Motor Parts
    Standard Oil thermometer

  3. No great scores.....(other than a gift from my new best friend Harrison :D)....but I sold a ****load of stuff!
Did get hosed on an old pair of 2-pc mags....the guy told me they were Ford pattern---took 'em off his F150!---damned if they aren't Chevy pattern....:rolleyes: My fault for not looking closer...and I can use them anyway

Beautiful weather lots of good stuff, lots of good cars at good prices, not too many Barrett-Jackson prices on the vehicles this year finally back towards reallity.

Hey, Thanks to everyone for coming yesterday.

Yes, some inside vendors chose to not show up, but trust me - we had every inside space pre-sold.... and OUTSIDE?...Holy Cow did we have the people...
We were stuffing vendors in every nook and cranny that we could possibly find...and putting some sellers in places that we weren't supposed to put 'em- just trying to work with everyone and keep 'em happy.

I hope everyone had a great time and will make plans to join us next year. :D

I found a 40 ford pickup in the parking lot, unlocked, so I sat in it, and farted.

I found a tow bar for flat towing Buckshot, the guy said it was free, but I gave him $30, he looked like he could use the money.

I also stopped by the 'heater *****" and "tag topper" booth and talked to some redneck.

    Ahh, good times.

I had a great time. Thanks for hosting the swap. One of the best ones I've been to in quite awhile. It is almost too big for a one day event, though. Just too much to see...too little time to talk.

Here's what I got (all at bargain prices):

    1. Wico magneto to go on one of my Model T's

    2. Fibergl*** '32 grill shell for my Model BB car hauler project

    3. '31 Model A hood

    4. Set of ET-I (torque thruster look-a-like) wheels for my '63 Fairlane

    5. Metal 1/25th scale '71 Torino Cobra (to match the '70 model that I already have and my two real Torinos)

I could have/would have bought much more, but I just ran out of time, and because some of the sellers that had things I wanted packed up and got out of there so fast.

Here's some of the things I would have bought with more time or if the sellers had stuck around long enough (almost none of this sold, they took most of it all home...one guy was throwing stuff away as I was trying to look at it!):

    1. 1932 B ******

    2. 1963 Fairlane hood

    3. Aluminum Model T hogshead (I did get the guy's phone number, so this may still happen)

    4. either the dropped axle I saw, or the complete front axle set up that another guy had

    5. Model A speedster body

    6. two reverse eye front springs

    7. a whole bunch of wheels

    8. a whole bunch of distributers

    9. a whole bunch of carbs

    10. a whole bunch of fenders

    11. two six volt sirens

There were a whole lot more parts I thought that I might be interested in, but just didn't have the time to follow-up on them or to check to make sure they were exactly what I needed (like the new brake drums for a nine-inch Ford rearend).

Some things, I didn't get but would have, because I couldn't get back to see about them fast enough before someone else snapped them up:

    1. Three NOS bias ply tires at $5 each for my '63 Fairlane.

    2. The intake that Taylor bought.

    3. A bunch of Model T parts from a guy that had a trailer load full of T and A parts. One guy came in and bought all of his T stuff.

Many of the prices I saw were way too high, and those things weren't selling. As the day went on, the prices were coming down in most cases. However, I saw a few guys marking prices higher as the day went on!

Oh, so that was YOU???

Some guy came in the office yelling something about a skunk, but we had no idea... ;)

  13. Good meet. I found a neat old art deco air cleaner that I can use on my roadster after I modify it. A neat old PLUMB tinners hammer and some miscellaneous tools. I must have missed the T5 ****** from the S10 because I was looking for them.

Wasn't much Chevy six cylinders stuff. Saw one Offy 3 ones manifold, a new Clifford valve cover and some beat up headers.

    Beautiful day.

poor old gator, he went out there and p***ed out. now we all know why:rolleyes:

  15. Tom, y'all do a great job, so thanks.
There was half a wall in my building(F) that was empty:eek: Heard those "missing" were KY guys that got iced in and couldn't make it :(

Suggestion..... Y'all should rent the Wilson building AND the other building(where they have wrestling) and go for broke. At worst, there wouldn't be anybody outside and everybody would be under roof. I think your club's about to outgrow the Fairgrounds---especially if we keep getting good weather like this year and last year ;)
Thanks again, and see you next year.

great day! drove from atlanta the night before, only to realize that ACDC was in town and every damn hotel i went to was booked! finally found a room at about 1:30( 2:30 my time) and woke up at 5. had a good time, talked to some cool people. i wanted a 1936 chevy hood so bad i could taste it and asked everyone to no avail. i did score some reaaal nice model A lights, cal custom valve covers, a driveshaft safety hoop, misc. pulleys, and pack of 5 foot long band clamps haha.

Yea, I heard that too earl. I hate it for them. I also heard that we had lots of KY folk in our hotels because they have no elec up there, so that might have added to the trouble finding a room.

There are some discussions about moving the fairgrounds entirely, to a much larger place...don't know how that's gonna happen inside our current economic issues, tho.
We'll see what happens.... better know that you guys will be the second group to know.

You'd apparently been dining on the Taco Bell dollar menu too - oof!

ME! Thanks again for the "GATOR" hubcaps - now that I've got a set of four they're getting re-chromed and put on the '40.

I also bought a new Edelbrock aluminum high volume water pump for $35, and traded a pinstriped panel for a vintage Pepsi cooler.

And B.A. King stole some dust covers from me. Ha!

My first time there as a 'vendor', but I really enjoyed it.

Mike, that was honestly the highlight of my trip. I'm glad you liked it.

It was good to see you & Poncho. You guys are so dreamy.

Damn, what a list. You were obviously moving too slow. $100 for a good pair of wishbones & an axle is about as cheap as it gets. ;)

......... as far as good scores go, I bought a toy car for $7 & traded it for an Astra .38 Special.
