mainly ram horn sbc. -- but id like to see any make or style of smoothed out manifolds. coated or painted or raw. i have a pair of smooooothed out manifolds that are smooth 'EVERYWHERE' sides, back, around bolt holes etc... smooth as gl*** chrome plated & they look nice. HOURS of work!! many! i have another pair i left raw & had cerma chrome coated. i have seen some other smoothed out manifolds some of you have that you left rough cast aound the bolt holes & maybe on the sides & they looked 'really good!' dont know where i saw them? anyone have pics? im not trying to get out of extra work on these manifolds im doing now just wanted to see some pics if anyone has any. i have them looking really good maybe see some pics to convince myself there done & send them in.
what was involved in porcelin (sp) coating manifolds....seems like it was something done back in the day....
39 chev -- yes it looks like you have MORE than 'some time in those! Z.Diddy -- those look good too! more manifold pics please. coated, painted, rusty or otherwise.
Here are mine. 1963 327 with stock rams horns. Lots of grinding dust everywhere. I had them ceramic coated but have not run it more than the initial start. I don't know how long the coating will hold up as the truck is not complete yet.
right here man. im about 1/2 done with this one the other is 'about' done. i took the center cross web out after i saw 39 chevs pics. leave the studs in until done they make for a good tripod. now wheres yours?
I have a set of ceramic coated that I took off to put Sandersons on.I think I am goin to put them back on because I am tired of changing header gaskets.
picked mine up yesterday. they look excellent. i had 7 hours in the pair. When i picked them up the platers told me they were the best ones they ever plated but maybe theyve only plated one pair before?!?!?!
