Sorry,You would really have to love that car in this economy.

  2. 2 years ago...well worth the asking price
    Today...........probably a $20,000 coupe DeVille
In a year.......it will be hard to sell it for $15,000

I hate to be all gloom and doom, but we're now where the bottom of this economic mess.

29K would cover the chrome bill and maybe the paint job on a resto of a car like that. I certainly don't have the money to buy it but I can see where their price is coming from.

i love caddies, but for $30K, you could get something a lot cooler than that.

I'm a dealer in the DFW area. THis car went through Dallas Auto Auction a few months ago. I'm going to look it up to see what the buyer paid at auction... If this is the same one, it's a VERY CHERRY original car. I drooled over it at the auction.

EDIT: Manheim only keeps market reports on cars back to 1981. I think that car went through the sale in December, and they don't have those sale results online anymore...

If I had that kind of disposable cash and wanted a 55 Deville HT Yes but I would rather have a 50 or 51 HT. On cars of that age you are either going to pay up front for a really nice one like that or pay later one piece at a time to get it that nice or nearly that nice.

Too much. Unless you're stuck on 55's, check out the 56 on Ebay - similar car but with 2 fours, asking $14,400.
