Hi everyone. I just joined. I survived the "American Graffiti" years in Modesto, California, dragging tenth street in a 1928 Oldsmobile Landau and later a $50 1935 Ford 5-w. Lots of cars later I now live in Oakland, CA and have 3 cars: a 1934 Ford 4-door highboy, a 1935 Ford full-fendered roadster, and, in the works, a 1941 Graham Hollywood. Does anyone else out there have a Hollywood or Hupp Skylark?

I have 3 kids, ages 17-20, all in college, so my prospects are limited, but I do manage to go to Bonneville each August for Speedweek and manage to catch the Grand National Roadster Show in L.A., Blackie's show in Fresno and a few local things like the Asphalt Invitational and Billetproof.

    Hey Phil,
Welcome. This can be a pretty interesting site. I enjoyed our talk at Pleasanton. I believe that was in 2007. Thanks for the material you sent me. I tried to thank you in an email, but I'm not sure you got it. Hope to see you around some of the events this year.

    Welcome Phil!

In case you guys don't know, Phil is the REAL DEAL... A hot rodder who "gets it".. He curated the great Hot Rod and Custom exhibits at the Oakland Museum over the past 10+ years. He drives a wild '34 sedan and killer '35 roadster too:
