Maurice, I ordered a 930 Amal Concentric from Truth at Choppahead today. I mentioned possibly steppin up to the 32mm because I've got the 750 kit on it, but he said the 30mm will be fine. (Thanks truth!)

I still reeeeaaaallly like your Trump...why do you want to get rid of the dual Mikunis? Just for looks? Or is it not running like it should?

Baytowngreaser, I'm not sure if I'll bring the bike to the drags...maybe if I can get it running right and can find someone to haul it for me, I'll bring it. I dunno.

  2. I'm basically building my bike using the SAME parts that BoydWho used on his build... '56 frame, '53 rigid rear, Unit motor... but I'll go with a stock front end and drag style bars...

Anyone save a pic of what I had mocked up? My pics are gone on my work computer.
    Sam.

I can't stop thinking about these bikes.

This one will be WAY different next year when I finally build it. It's pretty neat as is though.

I want to build it as simple as possible. I know that it is a '73 Tiger 5 spd motor with a 4 spd in it. It also has a Morgo 750 kit.
I just don't know where the cylinder head came from... It's still not running like I want it to.
Now, I wanna have a good, rebuilt cylinder head with one carb on it. No h***le with adjusting two carbs and all that ****.

It runs ****in' hot too... Too hot I think. Especially when I use the ****tailshaker 2 in 1 pipe. It has a smaller diameter. I might go back to the 1 3/4" drag pipes.

For the rest it's great! Handles well, brakes are pretty good, chain doesn't rub the tire, the Hunt mag works great now.
When the bike has been standing still for like 4 weeks, I kick it twice and it's runnin'!!

If I keep having engine trouble I might get me a brand new one from Wes at Four Aces Cycle...

  11. Here's mine... the bottom rails will eventually be level with the ground. I also have a better looking old Pock-o tank that I narrowed...

FoMoCo, what kinda of tire are you running out in back?? also, are your rims powdercoated or rattlecanned. this is a cheap build, and dont want to unlace the wheels to powdercoat/paint so im just going to scuff up the rims tape off the spokes and rattlecan it with some lawnmower paint or something.

  23. I think Hatch is right.

Anyhow, here's mine. I didn't build it. Hell I didn't even take this picture but MAN its the most fun I have had in awhile.

I can't say enough about the guy who built it. (Chris B from Sherborn, MA) Super nice guy who does some GREAT stuff.

I've been chompping at the bit for the past 2 days waiting for a new clutch cable to show up.

I never did like breaking things.....

I'm running an Avon in the back and my rims are powdercoated, but I have done a few rattle can jobs that have looked alright. just take the time to mask all the **** off right and most will never know

Sorry. Only pic I have. I think it was mid 1970's when the pic was taken. Black on chrome.....hard combo to beat. The bike was a pretty good runner as well.

  30. I love the little tire and wheel up front with the big boys out back! That is something you don't see often.
