My wife and I are seriously looking to move to Beaufort South Carolina. We spent two weeks at her brothers last summer and loved it. I just wanted to see if anybody was from or near there and see how you like it there. I've always lived in south east PA. I drive truck for a living and don't think it will be to hard to find a job. Please give me some input if you can.
    Thanks in advance!

we have a friend who sold Real Estate there for a long time. He still goes to Beaufort regularly to visit his Mother. PM me your contact info, and I'll put you in touch.

brian, finding work as a truck driver shouldnt be too hard. if you're havin any trouble, the ports in savannah, ga are always hiring. I moved to savannah about a year and a half ago from bucks county, pa. You'll love the weather if you're tired of cold. If you have any questions, pm me, i'll try to answer them for ya. good luck

I do not live there ... but I travel there quite often.
The economy appears to be holding up better there than most places. Because of the Marine base ... there are a good many housing options available ... and the real estate market is doing well.

The car scene is a little lame ...
but there are some car guys in that area.

Shrimping, crabbing and fishing look to be the popular past time :D

Seriously you need to experience them before you move there - they really "bug" some people. They are out all over you whenever you are outside in the spring and fall. hope for wind!
