Question, I know someone can help me out there. Are the 1932 Ford TRUCK rails the same as the coupes and roadsters?
In all years of Fords from 1909-1940 the passenger cars and 1/4 and 1/2 ton pickups/panels/SD/SW use the same basic frame in any given year. The 41 Ford pickup and Sedan Delivery also use the 40-dimensioned frame. The basic groupings are 09-25, 26-27, 28-31, 32, 33-34, 35-40, 41, 42-48. 41 Passenger frame are unique to 41, but the 42-28 can be used with minimal mods. 42-48 Passenger cars share the same frames. 42-47 Pickups share the same frames. NOTE, various body styles may have additional body mounts or brackets and braces but the basic frame perimeter and front and rear crossmembers are the same. To clarify some FORD terminology: Ford uses the term Commercial when referring to pickup trucks, flatbed trucks, panel trucks under 3/4ton and include station wagons and sedan deliverys in this catagory. Ford uses the term Truck when referring to Trucks and Panels 3/4ton and over. This applicable at least through 1948.
