Dear Hambers from all over. I'm from the times a computer was powered by steam. In the link I'm posting to the end of this message, you will find a project about a 32 Ford. I ***ume it is developed in Auto Cad. I have asked some questions to the guys from the site, but they do not answer me what I really wonder. So I beg , please, to all good and bad souls Hambers who know 3D Cad to visit the site and answer me the following: 1- What is the quality of the project they offer ? 2- Will it be enough to the point of printing body parts in real size dimensions ? 3- The project has neither fenders nor hood. I need them. 4- Are $75 bucks a good deal ? 5- What is the appropriated program I must have in my computer to open and deal with files, data, etc ? Thank you all who can do me this favor. The link is: http://www.3dcadbrowser.com/preview.aspx?ModelCode=9568 Regards from Brazil, Tagliari.

quote- "I hope you understand now that you don't need to understand. - - Bill Stinson" very much to the point. unfortunately Tagliari, wethinks 3d cad will not do YOU any good for what it appears you need. good luck looking elsewhere for fenders and hood.
1) quality is not good, all theparts are intersecting and running into eachother, leads me to believe they drew it by looking at a photo. 2) absolutely not, there's little to no chance of there being any accurate scale to this drawing 4) no 5) Solidworks, AutoCAD, Pro/E etc. would be able to open the file. Once open you'd be able to fully appreciate the disappointment in having wasted $75. Plus whatever the software to open it cost. The amount of hours that would go into accurately modeling a car, especially the body are well beyond what $75 would buy you. Or $7500 would buy you, or likely $75000. That said, if all you want is a model to play around with and do a virtual mockup, but a poor one and most likely not to scale, then it could work, but the software is going to be pricey.
Tagliari...I would agree. Big dissapointments await you here. Real world dimensions replicated on a CAD program to produce a conceivable project would cost you a hell of a lot more than $75. Call Brookville Roadster, Inc....see what those guys would charge you for a copy of their CAD files after they get done laughing. If you want to try your hand at some scale projects and get the jist of a CAD program, search "Sketch Up" on the Google search engine...download the basic version of Google Sketch Up 7...ITS FREE!! I mock up a lot of stuff on here, and just to duplictae real-world dimensions to make something small is TEDIOUS AND TIME CONSUMING...and I have AutoCAD experience!!! But damn is it great to play with... Fs-N-Fs
Thank you very much ! I suspected that because I realized they were only interested in SELLING, instead of answering my questions. For sure, these people expect to trick someone. Regards from Brasil, Tagliari.
Thanks you very much, Dirtfloors ! People who do not answer questions when you are interested in buying a product are not reliable. Regards from Brasil, Tagliari
Dear Valkokir, I think I do better by my own using an 1:18 scale miniature. I had already suspected that their offer was a 'bleff' and surely they are not serious and reliable. Fortunately I had the idea of asking to Hambers like you. Many thanks ! Regards from Brasil, Tagliari.
Boys, thank you very much for the infos ! By the way, my belly costed me years of drinking beers and eating barbecues. (smiles) Tagliari.
by looking at the link, the coupe is based on a 33-34 ford coupe.not a 32.if you want a car that looks like the drawing, check out steve's auto restoration.they are reproducing the 34 three window.if you truly want a 32 three window brookville is the way to go. -danny
