Some time ago there was some discussion about how various people
did front wishbones. Someone had seen mine but not with the engine out...Here's the pics.
I have had a flathead V8, 350 Chev, "B" 4 banger and 351 Ford engines in this car and there was no clearance problems with any of them. It handles extremely well for a 2600 lb. car. Very slight oversteer on a 100 mph corner. The ball joint is a Kenworth truck tie rod end.
I have found that this type of car handles far better with front and rear wishbones rather than parallel or hairpin radius rods.

I agree with you my original '32 Roadster with stock wishbones handles better than my other cars with 4 bars and split hairpins. Do you have a part number for the Kenworth tie rod end? The FOGGER

No part number but a call to the Kenworth parts dept. should turn it up.

  6. Well done, Pete ! I once took an owner-built dirt modified on a trade. It had a similar setup on the rear except the wishbone was square tubing and the coupler was a trailer hitch and ball. :D
