Has anybody ever heard of a Wagner Lockheed slave cylinder? I have one on my ride and its pitted up pretty bad. I have honed it out and rebuilt it but it still leaks. I looked everywhere on line but all I can find are master cylinders. This is just a 6 or 7 inch round cylinder with two fittings on one end and the piston on the other. Do they even make these anymore? Does anybody have on lying around? Any info would be great. Thanks

  2. We see them in the parts buisness as older parts on trucks, 1/2 ton to 3 ton and forklifts, etc., and they normally have a casting number that can be crossed, if not, a comptent parts store should be able to match in our master picture book of slave cylinders. If not one of the machine shop can put a stainless sleeve in it, provided you can find the proper kit.

The machine shop guy said there wasn't enough meat on it to sleeve it. I will look again, but I didnt see one casting number on it other than just the name itself

NAPA should have a book with pictures of hundreds of different hydraulic brake and clutch cylinders. You'll have to ask them to dig it out and compare yours to the ones in the book. You might get lucky.

I got mine at NAPA. Just matched up the pictures and it's alot easier than rebuilding it.

The pre '63 Chevy trucks had a slave cylinder that was popular, see if what you got matches up to a new one. Some old truck resto suppliers probably have them in stock.
