I have searched through about 20 pages of threads on wheels. i have visited roadsters.com and clicked through all of the manuf. links. i am in search of narrow front wheels for my 34 3 window. i want to run a vintage look with firestone dirt trackers. is there anyone that manufactures a vintage looking "new" wheel. some avenues that i am open to is the salt flat special look by AR, they look too new for my car with the polished lip. Kidney bean style i like as well. Old looking torq D's are a top priority. i have googled "vintage hot rod rod wheels", etc. No luck. thanks in advance for all the info. if any of you have any wheels kicking around that you dont want to keep anymore shoot me an email if you think i am interested.

www.realrodderswheels.com for Dragmaster 'kidney bean' style or www.wheelvintiques.com - also PS Engineering. Torq Thurst D were the late 1960s five spoke specifically made to clear disc brakes (D for Disc brake) and have curved spokes. They were first made for Corvettes. I do not think they originally came narrower than 6".

It may be that PS Engineering and Real Rodders Wheels (Eric Vaughn's old company) are the only USA manufacturers of aluminum wheels. I have a set of Vaughn's wheels on my '32 3-W that I bought in '85. The Real Rodder guys are great people and have maintained the high standards that Eric established. My personal choice would be the Real Rodders. Good luck, The FOGGER

If you want the Torque Thrust D style, Vintage Wheel Works V45 style is a dead nuts copy. They have a 15 X 4 size. I'm running their 16 X 8 on the rear, and genuine American Torque Thrust D's on the front, and their is no difference in appearance.

No pics, but I saw the Dow 7 coated wheels in their booth at the GNRS. Looked damn good, exactly like a brand new 1960 Halibrand.

I ask the rep @ Realrodders booth how they made the "Dow7" look so authentic, he looked at me like I was an Arab terrorist!! So I guess it is some kind of "state secret", anyway *****n' wheels, and good people to deal with.
