Fitzee you're right about the arm & leg category for wire wheels. 4 new 16" streetrod wires with a Chevy bolt pattern would run you a grand or so before paint. Gennie 35 wires with wheel adapters would work but that's potentially a lot of chasing around and hassle to make happen. 15" streetrod wires are a quite a bit less but I think they look a bit dwarfed by big rubber on the back. No question that it would be a good look though. How's about some more detailed construction pics of the body mods you did.
Ok...I'm not much on buckets, but with those wire wheels, whites and a lake setup.....that would be a really great looking ride. Still looks good as is, just more my style with the mods. Joe
Detail on the body, well here you go.At the bottom of the page you will find links to the body and frame build up. http://groups.msn.com/Newfoundlandstreetmachineassoc/fitzeesrodshop.msnw fitzee
Oh Is there a link to a website one could look at them wheels. You say $1000.I take it that`s US.lol.A set of them wheels with a set Of Coker white`s will set me back a big chunk of cash Canadian. But I can redrill my rotors and hunt for a used set.I already have a full set of byesply 16`s with white walls.Hmmmm!!! fitzee
I dig that you're a hands-on kinda guy. Very nice work indeed. Everyone here likes em low and with traditional wheels, and it sounds like you were already ready for those comments. I like it for being a hacked up T, for having a late-model big block in it, the F-bod rear end, and all the other stuff you're 'not supposed to do'. Oh, and you shouldn't have ditched those spindle-mounts, you dummy.
Cool. I'd go w/ some black steelies and wide whites for a little more classic look. Man, it sure was cool back when w/ those spindles and such.
[ QUOTE ] Neat lookin' heap. [/ QUOTE ] Nice ride, smoothies and some Lakes headers would make it look great. Hey, you have a ride, that is all that should count. There are always rooom for improvement.
Nice loooooooooong ride Fitz...lookin' good...falls into my "ain't-following-the-crowd" category...looks like it could run hard...HackerBill told me he'd like to take a ride in it.... R-
I think the grill shell is too far forward.....or the body and engine too far back......... It gives the hood a funny angle (can you ditch the hood?) Or maybe it's just the angle of the pic...?? Dunno. Cool though. What colour you gonna paint it?
Tried e-bay? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2487976869&category=34209 Better still - put a 'want-ad' in HAMB classifieds.
