Howdy fellow HAMBERS. Albie at American Rebel Jacket. I am thinking about recreating a line of cl***ic mechanic ike jackets made in the USA and chain s***ched to order. I want to keep manufacturing here in the US and this would be a very cool addition to my family of jackets. I know many of you wear ****ies which is imported but I would love to get some feedback on the idea. I can create retro gas station, towing , wrecking, junkyard ,Hot Rod Shop, Parts stores, clubs etc.

    Thanks

    Albie

    Albie,

Bring it on...old school mechanics overalls with labels ...etc...would be awesome...my father p***ed away last year and i would love to have personalized overalls with his name on the front and the company he worked for when i was a kid "North American Aviation" on the back, using new but "distressed" looking fabric.

Would have the overalls d****d over the bench seat of my A at shows... it was his..

I like it, I end up buying a new ****ies jacket almost every year cause they just get all faded and the fabric gets soft.

Keep the ideas coming...I am working with an old line maker who has been around 125 years. From the 30's through the 50's they supplied jackets all over the country. Iwould be under my label American Rebel. I will know more when I get the sample but it looks very promising. Would love to create a legacy series..ie your fathers and grandfathers employers or shops for you guys. I need to rely on do***ents provided by you all but thats half the fun aint it.

I would be up for one. I could also get it mentioned in the union newsletter for my local and get you a little free advertising. Just let me know when they are ready.

YES, I WOULD BE INTERESTED, LIKE MAYBE OLD OUT OF BUSINESS TRUCKING COMPANIES ie. TIME DC, ICX, THUNDERBIRD, PACIFIC INTERMOUNTAIN EXPRESS(PIE) AND MAYBE THEIR LOGO'S

  17. This sounds like a cool idea, and I like the made in USA part. I'd be willing to pay a little more for that, but they still need to be affordable.

interested if they are affordable for the "normal" man.

  20. How about making the sleeves long enough (cuffs that extend to the thumb joint when the arms are held straight out in front of the wearer) for us guys that are 6' or taller. I hate having to pay extra for a **XL jacket just to get long sleeves.

    Albie,

The Legacy line is a great idea...Many fathers cut there teeth in the military and garages around America...what a way to honor them......

That would be interesting but the wife will kill me if I get another jacket. Great web site and I love the pipes.

I'd be very interested. Is there a chance you could ship a jacket or two out for fitment before it's s***ched up? I'd hate to buy one and find out it doesnt fit like I wanted it to.

  25. Sounds great, the ****ies ones are ok, but fade & fit really badly!

X 2 ... I'm 6'10" and have a DAMN hard time getting sleeves long enough. Ideally, I would wear a 2XLT ... even longer if you go it. I need a great old coat, but ****ies and carhartt don't even come close to making sleeves long enough. I'd like to support the smaller American business too. Any images of these proposed jackets?

6'10" ?!- **** flathead, you need to make this guy a well fitted jacket just 'cause!

I've always wanted a jacket with my dad's old flying service on the back.

    Keep us posted.

Sounds good to me. I'd buy one for sure.

Are you sure ****ie's are made offshore? There sure are a lot of ****ie's manufacturing plants here in Fort Worth.
