engine code help

i did a search in the forums and found one thread but i couldnt find my number any help would be great
the code is JAD955029 its in a 1951 chevy deluxe and i think its a 216
just want to make sure and find out if its the original engine

The prefixes indicating a 235 for 1951 are JDA, JDM, JEA or JEM.

Did you transpose the JDA to "JAD" when you typed this? If so, you have a 235.

 

no i didnt i double checked haha
