I never did really like the look of those 2-3 foot long beds on any truck newer than a '31. From the beggining I was planning on running just two regular bedsides on my truck, I think it kinda evens out the proportions of the late 30's/early 40's trucks.

Any updates or new pics of your build? I'd love to see what you end up with for a grill. I brought a 41 home a few months ago it was real cheap and I could not stand to see it go to the s**** yard. I'm fixing the rust and collecting parts right now, I will be starting the frame in a few weeks when we get the boss's frame off the table. Do you mind if I PM you with some tech type questions? I found this thread, and realized I never put up any updates on this truck...wellllhere y'all go.

Took it to the last HRR and won "best traditional in progress hotrod" dont know if its trad, but woo hoo...it won a trophy. I finished it and delivered it to its new owner at billetproof. It lives in Las Vegas now with Ron Olson, its new owner. This is probably the last radicallt styled rod I will build....keeping it closer to traditional/painted stuff from now.

Its going to be in the next issue of Smokin Shutdown

    ps...I hate airbags.

Scratchproof, shatterproof lexan. Costs a fortune, but it makes rad racecar windshields.

Thats the stock grille chopped up into little bits and welded back together.

Run the hood and fenders. Use a 38 or 39 chevy grille.
