It was called the "Continental Cl***ic", Gary Lee, his godfather was Alex Dryer owned it. It was sectioned by Jack McKay, painted by Junior's House of Color in Lynwood, CA. I believe the interior was done by Lee Wells of CA. The wheels are from Walker Aluminum Foundry. In 1964 it took first place in the "Experimental Cl***" in every show it entered. Also placed first in the 65 Winternationals in LA. You need to do the interior (seats) like the photos, the pleats were brocaide (sp) material, pearl leather, the rugs were long haired Iceland sheepskin. The backs of the seats and dash, and the ****ons in the seats were black walnut. There was stereo tape player, electric razor,tv, vanity, drink tray. The deck lid had a tv camera that played on the small tv screen in the dash, lika a rear view mirror....in 1964! It was a cool car...!

It reminds me of the inside of the Brady Bunch house.

It belonged to Lee Wells. He worked out of Barris shop. I think Junior painted the flake when he first showed. It had a TV camera in the rear deck lid emblem. It was a really wild show car, I heard Wells got the original Lincoln from an uncle who was a newscaster. Probably Alex Dryer. Good to see it still around.

I love to see old survivors surface. Even if they have an 'interesting' style to them.
Looks to be in remarkable condition considering it was not a 'high profile' car such as a Barris, Roth, Winfield creation.

Maybe it was all that 'Cl***ic Car Wax' on it????:D

It sometimes hurts to see a car that doesn't need to be customized- hurt like that...and so few made at that...I guess back when they were newer it wasn't a big deal.

Those Walker Wheels are bad ***. I would love to find a set today...hell, I would even love to see a set on anyones car. And as far as that car goes...I know I have that in an old magazine(s), I have 1000's of old mags and went through a couple of hundred and did not see it. I kept finding something interesting to read and was not making any progress in locating it. I will try again if no one posts something by tomorrow.

Love it or hate it, that car is a surviving show kustom of a bygone era. How can you be arrogant enough to say something like that?

Where's all the Ray Charles "I can't see ****" images when you really, really, really need 'em?

    Nice engine though.

An Iconic car that needs to be put back the way it was, Doesn't matter if a bunch of Yahoo's on the HAMB don't like it. It is a large piece of Kustom History!

The engine being a Y block I took a close look at the suspension and according to my history there 1955-1956 vintage. The under carriage shot of the left front also says 55-56 unless Lincoln carried over the suspension to later years. In 1957 ford went to the stamped steel solid looking controll arms. One of the above post says possibly 64-I am a little lost on this one.

Confused on the year? It's a '55-6 continental mark II, which is argueably one of the nicest cars ever to roll out of FoMoCo.

That engine looks as radical as the car!
