Well as the ***le says I am finally going to be building my first hot rod. I have been collecting the parts for this build for a few years now and I think Im just about ready to start. I dont know how to go about starting it.

As for the car its 1927 model t tudor sedan, It has been chopped 7 inches. The other parts I have colleted are:1937-41 ford axle, model a spindles,1955 t bird rear end, model a grill shell, model a boxed frame, lime works steering column and wheel, split a bones and a bunch more that i cant even think of at the moment haha. Also trying to get a set of 18" hallibrand magnesium spindle mounts.

The problem I am having is that I dont know how I want the stance. I want to go with the 60s drag style and with that style Im not sure which drive train to go with. I bought a 1964 ford 390fe hipo motor from my buddy and bought a 6 duece manifold ,carbs and so cal customs finned valve covers for it. Also I have an extra 292 y block with speed parts.

Its a tough descision on how to build it and what to use. Please give me your thoughts on it.

    thanks-56 ford custom

I need to make friends with your friends. I'm getting out of the rock buggy scene and into this, my first obsession that I never got to dabble in. I've got a 26 T Tudor Sedan, and am over in Anaheim. That's all I've got so far though :) Shopping around for front/rear axles and a motor.

Those spindle mounts you want probably won't fit the Model A spindles without bearing spacers. You might wnat to upgrade to 37-41 or 42-48 spindles.

Thanks chris!!! I appreciate the pics. I think I have found the stance I want for the t. I was going to have it z'd and pretty damn low, but I like this is more traditional I think.

How much hard is it to mate up a t to an A frame? Also what kind of suspension should I run in the rear? Or what do you fellas suggest?

T to an A frame should ot be that heard, been done for years. Shaun's car (above) has a 9" rear located by a Pete & Jake's ladder bar setup. His frame is stepped 5" in the back. Trans is toploader LaSalle.

Yo Jon, post up a pic of your project. The adapter I have is an Offy piece that mates an FE motor to an early Ford 3 speed. I also have the flywheel to go with the adapter. My '39 ****** is all apart now and it needs a new cluster gear. Are you still looking to buy my frame?

    Hey Jon,
60's drag style? Probably look best kind of like a slingshot, biggies in the back and small fronts. 292 would be best for launches, but you'll get more horses out of the 390. Let me know if you need a hand, darrin

Try not to make it gay looking. There's a lot of gay looking T sedans out there. That is my best advice.

Wow. That pink T is the most gawd-awful thing I've seen in a while. Looks like it should belong to the Grand Marshall of the Pride Parade. Yikes.

On my T sedan I used a 40 ford front axle with coils over and chevy rotors, rides better than the orignal springs
