It was idling when I saw it waiting to go onto the auction block....the steering wheel vibrated due to that narrow shaft.

  3. I wonder if they sold it at Bohnam's in France to avoid some British tax implications?

I am cool with $4M, but the extra $600 is just ridiculous.

What??? Do you mean - an astute investor such as Jay Leno?

  13. Let'a hope the new owner(s) is/are sympathetic. Car has excellent provenance from a famed Bugatti friend.
Hope the security guards are lean & intelligent and that the garage is heated.

And he is laughing all the way to his garage, too, I'd imagine. Some cars are just transportation modules. Some get really cool with age and are remembered as cars that we "all" had. Cars like this one, transcend all of that and are truly works of art, like a Rembrandt painting, or something like the Chrysler Building or the Empire State Building. Obviously, someone, somewhere, has the wherewithall and the foresight, not to mention the cash and resources, to protect and save this car from what might have been an unceremonious crushing in earlier days.

Brainless? I don't think so. He is presumably successful enough in his chosen line of work to be able to spend $4M to spend on something like this. Do you?

looks like im the first to be on the other side of it. I dont find the car attractive at all. If I found it and knew what it was I would sell it. If they were a common car, I wouldnt give 200 bucks for it. I know im not the only one, anyone else willing to admit?

    :)

I LOVE the back windows on it. The rear shot shows them well.
