Terrific score Chris. I can't help but think how far ahead you are with this body over the stack of 31 panels you had!

Looking good, Chris! I thnk we are building similar cars this spring... :D

  8. That thing is way nicer then P.O.S. 30/31 roadster you bought.:D

As for a final fit and finish. I'm thinking an Eastern Washington version of the Amocat roadster. Period correct with rod brakes, FULL SHOW 1940 all the way.

  12. Chris, I have a question. What do you guess that steel body weighs?
I have a 'gl*** '29 body now, and some day I think I might like to change to a steel body. I was wondering how much frame work I would have to do to make my t-bucket style frame carry the extra (If any) weight. Thanks, Mike

I can flip it on it's nose and wheel it on a hand truck myself no problem. Two guys can pick it up, too (one on each end). I would guess 200-250 pounds. It's pretty damn light.

Congratulations Chris! I know you'd been looking for one forever just about. Looks like you found the right one! Cool how A Roadsters will fit in places where not much else will. I know we'll see some cool photos as she comes together. I have a soft spot for them as well. Gotta get my '31 up and running one of these days. Keep us in the loop my friend. :)

Great find and it's in really great shape. That's one I'd like to build sometime down the road .... flatty, 5-speed, open drive banjo, solids, and not one shiny thing on it save for the radiator surround. Yep, I like what you have in mind - I know you'll keep us all posted ....

That is a very nice body. Im sure you'll hook it up.

    Pete-

  22. Jeeze, that's only about twice what my 'gl*** body will weigh by the time I get it wooded out with a floor and all.
I think I'll start searching for a steel body. Thanks, Mike

Chris - gotta work. it ****S, but I gotta. Couple odds and ends I need, maybe you could keep an eye out for. I really don't care much for the Corvette and Hi-Po weekend - the A one is awesome - or are you talking about the one closer to here?? Just spent this weekend working on my '40 Coupe, finishing some loose ends here and there, gotta make room for something new. New to me anyhow..... :D:D:D

I'm Chris, blah blah blah. Look at my new roadster, blah blah blah. Better add it to my collection of awesome old Fords, blah blah blah.

(It's hard to express jealousy over the internet)

  30. Looks good, I like your plan, get it running and have fun.
