I would like to have a 32 frame built with all the holes for fenders, running boards and brackets drilled. Only boxed at the x-members and motor mounts. Any shop recommendations? I guess really a set of new, stock rails
I just picked up a 32 frame second hand that was built by kiwi konnection. Really nice piece, you might want to give them a call I'm sure they could build what you are looking for. Not sure on the phone number web site is www.kiwikonnection.org
Yep ---- Carl is an A**hole , ain't he? ended up with 1 of his IFS chassis in the shop a couple of years ago and the front X-Member was welded in backwards. The owner of the chassis (my customer) called him and explained the situation and what he would do about it. Carls response "You paid for it you own it, it's your problem now" Have heard too many horror stories about the "Rod Factory" Stay away !!!!!!!
These guys are pretty slick... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130286831871 .
These two people I am familar with. Had two friends have Superior Glass Works build to frames and they both came out great. One was going under a somewhat traditional 32 with SBF and the other a little more modern 32 with 4.6l DOHC motor. I think Gary Dagel's frames are top notch, although I'm not sure if he is still building them; http://www.dagelsstreetrods.com/ Also, Superior Glass Works in Molalla, OR builds a nice frame. http://superiorglassworks.com/
Hey Bill, talk to Peter at the Old Ford Store, I've seen a lot of his frames, very nice, local guy and he can do anything you want. No need to go to the high priced shops out of town! Dan Griffith
Thanks for tossing my hat in the ring. I do ship 'em all over. But nice to deal with a shop you can walk into, ain't "el palocko" out that way? Here's a couple we've done lately.. Using Ionia's parts too,Matt is the king of the holy frame. simple flathead frame,Tardel K-member. I have my assembly line kicking out the double Z'd Model A frames.. Finishing a killer flathead Cad 32 frame now,so all 32's must wait for that to be done...
Hi I would recommend http://www.scandinavianstreetrod.com/ Erik Hansson is very skillful and one of the nicest guys you could do buisness with.
Check out Gary Maxwell's work. http://www.blackboardhr.com/ Good guy. Good product. Fair pricing. No surprises.
