    Hey everyone,

My older brother, Saxton Haselwood was killed on the job at Union Pacific RailRoad on Sunday Feb. 8 2009 when he was hit by a p***ing train.

I loved him dearly and will miss him everyday. We worked on our VWs and other hot rods together. We jammed together in our studio we built. He played guitar(White Fender Stat) and I played the drums.

We were trying to get our 1927 Ford T Hot Rod built together. We worked and worked on it when we got the chance, but our time together was cut short.

We were trying to get his Bugs going. We just got his 1966 Bug going a little while back, but the carburetor started to screw up(throttle shafts worn) so he had to drive my 1971 the day he died.

We were building a 1776cc engine for his 1973 Standard Bug, but our luck would have it a lifter would screw up so we never got in on the road.

I have a lot of work to do to get his fleet of vehicles restored and up to his specs. I hope he will like them.

I know you guys didn't know him, but he LOVED working on his VWs. He had such a p***ion for it. He was on here looking at cars and forums all of the time. I could tell you anything about any year of VW, and many other vintage cars.

He was a great brother, friend and son. I love you big brother and I do miss you so so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    His babies:

    1966 Mustang Coupe (Ember-glow)
1964 Ford F100 Truck (Flat black, wide whites, red and white interior)
1966 Volkswagen Beetle (Gloss Black, Red Interior)
1973 Volkswagen Standard Beetle (Blueish, black/grey interior)
    1972 Triumph Bonneville T120VR 5 speed (Gold)
1927 Ford T Bucket (Hot Rod Project)
    1964 Ford Falcon (Reddish Project)
1965 Ford F100 Truck (Reddish Project)

    What he wanted:
    1932 Five Window Coupe
    23 Window VW Bus
    Type 3 Notchback
    Split Window VW Bug
    !!!!!!Any vintage auto there was!!!!!!

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Really anything with an engine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  17. I'm so sorry to hear about your brother ...... my prayers are with you and your family. God bless

  18. Sorry to hear about this. A pair of brothers into old cars, with names like Saxton and Winslow tells me you guys must be cool.

A man like that does not die completely. His role in your life has changed, once he figures out how to let you know he's there, and when you're ready to be able to sense it, ...well, you'll understand it in your own way.

Don't lose your mind over trying to find it, it will find you. The minute you think they don't come back to let us know, is usually about the time they do.

That's the best I can say it.
