I found an older Autometer Tach at the swapmeet Sunday. I t has 6 wires coming out of it, red, black, white, green, which I know where they go. But there is an orange wire loop and a brown wire loop sticking out also. They come outof the tach and go back in. Are these how you set it up for a 4,6, or 8 cyl. motor by cutting the loop? I searched the Autometer website, but everything had switches. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike.

Don't remember which is which, but you clip one for 6 cyl. and both for 4 cyl. Leave 'em alone for 8 cyl.
