You should try it yourself on some cheap one from the junk yard. Search you tube for making your own white walls.

Yes, there is a shop in Sacto that does it... will have to find the name... I just had some tires for the Billetproof Mobile done there, nice work and cheap.

will have to dig up the name....

    edit:

Hooten Tires in Sacramento did the white wall grinding, $15/tire and they did a great job.

  4. Did mine last month. Took about 45 minute per tire.

they started out as the little 3/4inch pinner style whites. they look good from here and not too bad up close. you can see a place or two where they went too deep or where its uneven but for under a hundred i cant complain.

Just use a 36 gr disk on a 7" grinder, finish up with 80gr then 120 on a DA. Easy as pie, but do it outside!

I had the rear tires done as I could not find a tire that matched my vision... but the ones I had on the truck were about perfect but for they were raised white letter tires... sooooo they became skinny whites.

I might have the fronts done to exactly match the rears, but that not all that critical to me.

These guys hook me up.....he has a really cool machine that does the grinding. Kinda looks like a balancer with a big arm and a grinder. Old lowrider shop, he's been doing it for yearsssss. Ask for Adam.

Every tire with a skinny white wall or white letters does!:D If you want big 'n littles, look for light truck raised white letters, say, 235/75R 15's, and smaller, like 205/70's or 75's fro the front.
