Hot DAMN man!!! You found a "Ute"!!! Short for utility. Those Aussies love them!!! When I was over there, they had a bunch of little ones running around, looked like Cavalier Elkies!! RASHY
the Australians have so much *****in **** over there that should be brought here, it just isn't fair! Those Utes are pretty damn cool lookin and I have only seen a handful here in the states. Greg
guy in mpls has one all done ,he was at the GM show at the fair grounds, right hand drive also. very cool, you see the new one they have built on the old camaro f body ,GM is thinking of selloing them in the states
There was a local guy that turned his 56 Olds or something into a UTE here. And, we can't forget Choprods' famous '58 Bel Camino. I love that thing.
Something like that I would auction my left nut off for. Aussies have neat stuff no one else does. I saw a 37 Chevy Phaeton on E-Gay a while ago. Again, factory built. Willys also had some neat Ausiie-only bodies - roadsters and such. Nicest lines, IMHO was the 35 Ford roadster ute....
Hack I wonder what a 49Ute would look like with a longer door and roof -then lower the sides of the"bed" tapering downwards to a rolled style tailgate[kinda like] the Barris KopperKart pickup????? Food for thought?????????
We had coupe utes from '34 and a body style in the late '30's called a SLOPER. sorta like your 2 door sedans but the roof tapered off with more of a "slope" towards the rear of the car. Cheers and beers Jimbob
...........I don't know FH..........thats kinda fugly...............even I wouldnt buy it!! And i've owned some fugly ****e!!!! Wait................It's only about 3 hours from me.......................naw!
Utes are COOL! How come they didn't make any over here? FatHack...you look like a little pimp in those threads, man! I mean that in the nicest, possible way, too.
A few of the utes seem to filter through Canada. I saw one for sale a few months ago and the dude had like 5 or 6 of em.
[ QUOTE ] you see the new one they have built on the old camaro f body ,GM is thinking of selling them in the states [/ QUOTE ] Huh?! Is this the Commodore Ute you speak of? Designed and built here with a Gen 3 heart. Or our Ford ute with quad cam 5.4L?
you guy's get all the cool stuff , considering the place was englands place to send inmtes and crooks, man what a trip that must have been a 100 yrs ago, on a sailing ship to be turned loose on a wild continent, i know the ford dealer in PERTH they have a cute daughter, hahaha,i was down there in the model a tour in the 90 one hell of a neat place
[ QUOTE ] I saw one for sale a few months ago and the dude had like 5 or 6 of em [/ QUOTE ] There is another one in the background of one of the shots. Same guy? If anyone wants to come up to Canadia for a HAMBslam north, that's what I wanna do to my 49 moredoor shoebox. Saw a picture once, anyone got one they can post?
[ QUOTE ] considering the place was englands place to send inmtes and crooks [/ QUOTE ] That's what the ENGLISH will have you believe........ 216 years ago, our ancestors LEFT that cold ****-hole to find somewhere where temps get over 25 degrees Celcius!
